So thankful~

Really glad to be in CF, be with so many wonderful ppl and get exposure to so many different things.

Recently been rotated to Operations unit, working on business process of a system and some compliance stuff...opertaions stuff is quite different to branch sales support, latter's task is more straight forward and quicker to complete... whereas operations stuff takes more time to digest and think, so academic! Unfortunately I felt quite sick these 2 weeks and I wasnt at my best to work my ass off!

Some inspirations from 2 ppl over the past 2 weeks. One is my new boss Mr. L, and the other one is my senior Mr H.Y....(I do not disclose names here)

Had a welcome lunch with Mr. L around 2 weeks ago, who talked about his work and it was enlightening.

It's all about attitude when it comes to work.
Try to learn about the meaning behind and objectives from different tasks.

Today went to Yum Cha with a bunch of colleagues, while walking back to office, had a chat with Mr. H.Y ....Mr. H.Y. is amazing, he speaks PERFECT English just like an English gentleman, and he will be going to Harvard for DBA in June!!! Absolutely fabulous. He is an Operations person and today he gave me advice as how I could equip myself for later challenges. Learn operations...Try to do some PI...then learn underwriting...thx Mr. H.Y!

At the end of the day, ATTITUDE is important, it's the source of energy to perform well.

Sleepless night

I oughta do something about it, yet I cannot muster up the courage to do so. I must go there in the near future to sort it out... if I still have a chance. I must end this constant struggle within my heart.

I want to thank someone who has been so understanding and caring to me, the feeling that I am unable to give something back makes me feeling uneasy. Thank you x infinity.

Forgive me, I am just too tired and too sick of being with anyone right now. I perfectly know my source my sadness and confusion come from myself, and for a long time I have lost my senses for emotions. I drift from day to day.

Meant to post this lyrics up many months ago, could date it back to late September 2005. Never got round to doing it. Today I have this urge. I don't like the singer's voice for this song in this HK Cantonese verion, but the Korean version of this song is nice. Anyhow, I want to cry everytime when I think of these lyrics. They perfectly portray how I feel since mid July 2005.

Can't believe I have become so weak since my return to HK in July 05...I wonder if it's because of the air is so polluted in HK and the place is too crowded with ppl or it's because of my unsettled sadness due to TKW leading to a weaker and weaker body and soul??


When will I be fully recovered from this?

After seeing doctor, went to PARSON's and got myself some piano books of Canto Pop, havent played the piano for a long long while, it's time to raise my interests in that field again...start with some easy and light pieces first before heading to more difficult ones.

Bought a book while waiting for dinner to start at Chinese Restaurant...later found out I bought the Chinese translation of "HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE". Well, if it's useful I will let you guys know.

Shopping!!

It feels great spending own money~
It's already been a few weeks since finishing with cyberport...literally unemployed at the moment, I've been going through interviews, and reading loads and shopping loads!!!

Took out a paper and listed out my "winnings", was shocked by how much I bought!!

To sum up, my "winnings" include SHOES, CLOTHES, COSMETICS, SKINCARE PRODUCTS, ACCESSORIES, CDs, BOOKS.

SHOES: I lack a pair of casual shoes...so bought a pair of newly released Arnold Palmer shoes few fridays ago...

















CLOTHES: Got a few items at BOSSINI when there was a discount. The smart stuff there was quite nice. Got a shirt, a smart jumper, and a coat...but I consider those stuff are too smart for casual wear...so went shopping this afternoon for autumn causal wear. Got a top at IZZUE, a top and a pair of trousers at EBASE...

COSMETICS: Great to shop at Bonjour... One can get branded quality make up for much lower price than other shops. I also got my dream powder cake at Seibu -Ettusais' zero pore oil free pact! MISSHA's stuff is great too.

SKINCARE PRODUCTS: These days I am in love with MISSHA's stuff... I reckon the quality is good and natural, and the price is reasonable! HK is now overwhelmed with Korea's great quality yet cheap skincare products...good news for consumers but bad news for their competitors... How I notice THE BODY SHOP now needs to think very hard of ways to counteract with this Korean wave~

ACCESSORIES: If one just wants some cute and cheap stuff, MongKok centre is the place to go!! It's heaven for gals... this place is recommended for getting trendy earrings, necklaces, hair accessories, underwear (Undercover is the place to go... a chain store which means quality is assured), and ball gown.

When I met with Nelly in August, she told me she got one of those Disney Schedule for 2006 (see below). Each page is designated for a day with a disney character, different for each day. Fully colour printed and looks grand, I got one in MK for 150HKD. I can't wait for 2006 to come.

CDs: IL DIVO!!! Been wanting to get that for months! I finally got that after getting my first ever salary. I have also bought 2 days ago the pre-released DVD version for IL DIVO's new album ANCORA which will be released officially on 7Nov...Cant wait...

BOOKS: Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki which I am reading at the moment, got it in a bookshop in Mongkok (I compared prices everywhere and realised that shop had the best deals). Also got Stephen Covey's The 7 habits of highly effective people at PAGE ONE (TST) last week, I wouldn't have got it if not for someone's recommendation. I wonder if this certain someone would read my blog anymore. I wish.
